Statement from ConnectedSF Regarding Our Housing Survey

Our goal with this community poll is to create an open platform for San Franciscans to share their thoughts on the proposed upzoning plan. This is a complex issue with significant implications for neighborhoods, infrastructure, and the city’s future growth.

The poll includes factual context in each question to help residents better understand the proposal, as many San Franciscans are not tracking the city’s upzoning plan. Providing this information is essential for respondents to give informed feedback.

We see this as an opportunity to gather a wide range of perspectives and foster thoughtful discussion based on concrete facts. We welcome input from all viewpoints and encourage everyone to participate, ensuring that the conversation reflects the diverse voices of San Francisco.

Both sides have expressed displeasure with the poll which means we’re probably speaking from a balanced position. We’re happy to be corrected if any facts were wrong, but we haven’t heard that. What we’ve heard is discomfort with voters being more informed. That says something. People deserve to know what’s happening in their city.
