Bringing Neighbors Together in District 8

Welcome to Activ8SF!

Activ8SF is a local group of neighbors in District 8, which includes Cole Valley, the Castro, Diamond Heights, Noe Valley and Glen Park. Our goal is to bring the community together, improve quality of life, strengthen relationships between neighbors, and voice our opinions on local issues and concerns.

The marquee of the historic theater displays upcoming events: 'Frameline42 Closing Night: Studio 54'. The theater has ornate architectural details and a bright red vertical sign that reads 'THEATRE'.

What Does Activ8SF Care About?

Public Safety

If it feels like crime has been on the rise here in the City, that’s because it has been. Homicides, motor vehicle theft, arson, and larceny were up over 20% in 2021 (compared to 2019.) How many times have you walked outside of your home to see the aftermath of a car break-in, or even been the victim of a crime yourself? It’s time to hold our leaders accountable for feeling safe in our own community.

Homelessness/Tents on Street

Activ8SF supports local leaders and organizations that are working to provide real solutions to homelessness in our district and throughout the City, including increased access to treatment and shelters contingent on sobriety. We believe that everyone has a right to shelter and should be given more care or concern than just a free tent. We also support citywide efforts to provide resources for those suffering from mental illness and mental health episodes on the street.

Supporting Small Businesses

Small businesses are the lifeline of our community. Activ8SF is comprised of fellow entrepreneurs and business owners in the district, and our goal is to connect neighbors both personally and professionally. We’ve seen the effects of bad politics on our pocketbooks firsthand, and care about protecting the interests of local businesses and commercial corridors.
