Commission Streamlining Task Force Update - August 2025

The Commission Streamlining Task Force is working to reorganize San Francisco’s complex web of advisory bodies. Since January, they’ve held ten meetings to weigh legal mandates, costs, and community input. Their goal: keep essential commissions, merge or cut the rest, and reduce red tape. While tensions remain, especially around preserving community voices, the Task Force is drafting clearer rules for creating new bodies. The outcome is a real nail-biter, as CSF views this as a once-in-a-generation possibility to reform the insane bloat at City Hall. What brings us solace in the interim is the mayor’s Director of Appointments, Andre Adyamiu, who is bringing real professionalism to City Hall.
